As children we grow up being told what to do, how to do it and when. We get used to being in that position of minor, always relying on someone else to give the orders. Even when we become adults, we find it hard to cast off that reliance we have for parental guidance. We still look for someone to give the orders, and if the order giver is not there we feel lost and helpless and don’t know what to do. Your parents would have told you one day you have to stand on your own two feet and suddenly when you realise what that means, you will miss that guidance. It feels scary to let go – but sink or swim you will survive. Today is the day you become boss of yourself.
Who’s telling you what to do and when are you going to stop taking orders.
