WE can have high self-esteem or low self-esteem. Self-esteem comes from within and without.

Without self acceptance it is hard to conquer self-esteem. One day you may feel onto of the world, the next you feel the world is on top of you. The self is not like a piece of clothing you can take off, a part you don’t like and leave it behind. It is the whole self that is at risk. You have to explore it especially in those moments of self doubt, when you are feeling low, or don’t like yourself. Do you have an ideal self that you can’t quite live up to? Perhaps you spend a lot of time with that ideal self rather than the real self, so you will be in perpetual a conflict – which is the real me.  If you’ve got children, how are you nurturing their self-esteem – to be high or low? They will develop their own self, but some of it will be based on patterns of behaviour you are showing them today. Enjoy and be yourself today.

“Self-esteem comes from who you have in your life. How you were raised. What you struggled with as a child.”
